Communication Development Programme

International Professional Programme

Professional communication for international careers.

The Silk Clarity International Professional Programme is a structured communication development programme for professionals who communicate in English within international business environments.

The programme combines structured assessment with personalised communication development to help participants strengthen the communication capabilities required for professional success.

Who we serve

International Professionals

Designed for professionals who use English in international business environments and need to communicate with clarity, confidence and consistency.

Silk Clarity was shaped through nine years of working with more than 10,000 students, the vast majority as an independent communication coach working directly with professionals across Europe and Asia. This experience also included teaching business professionals through Berlitz at the Menéndez Pelayo International University (UIMP).

Across thousands of professionals, one pattern emerged consistently. For those operating at CEFR C1 level and above, communication challenges were rarely caused by a lack of English proficiency. More often, they stemmed from the demands of communicating under pressure: losing a train of thought, hesitating before speaking, struggling to organise ideas quickly or failing to communicate at the level of their expertise.

In most cases, these professionals already knew what they wanted to say. The challenge was accessing it confidently and consistently when the pressure was on. They did not need more language; they needed reliable communication structures they could depend on in real time.

That insight became one of the foundations of Silk Clarity. Rather than teaching more English, the platform is designed to strengthen communication performance by helping professionals develop the structures that support clear thinking, confident delivery and consistent performance in high-stakes business situations.

Programme distinction

Communication capability and language proficiency are not the same thing.

Unlike traditional language courses, the programme focuses on professional communication in real workplace situations, including meetings, presentations, networking, leadership and executive communication.

A professional can have excellent English and still struggle with executive communication, stakeholder management, influencing decisions, leadership communication, difficult conversations, building trust, and cross-cultural communication. Silk focuses on communication behaviour rather than language ability.

What is a Communication Signature™?

Your Communication Signature™ is your personalised communication profile.

It brings together the findings from your assessment to provide a structured overview of how you communicate in professional situations.

Rather than producing a single score, your Communication Signature™ shows how you perform across multiple communication dimensions, helping you understand your strengths, identify development opportunities and track progress over time.

Your Communication Signature™ is delivered as a personalised digital report, typically 8–12 pages in length, summarising your assessment findings, communication profile and recommended development priorities.

Each Communication Signature™ includes
  • An overall communication profile
  • Scores across the Silk Clarity communication dimensions
  • Key communication strengths
  • Priority development areas
  • Personalised recommendations
  • A professional communication report

Your Communication Signature™ provides a baseline that can be used to measure communication development through future assessments and learning.
