For Academic & Research Collaborators

A methodology open to independent review.

Silk Clarity publishes its construct and validation approach, alongside its governance framework. We invite academic reviewers and research partners to interrogate the construct and assess the validation approach, and to shape the published validation record.

Validation Programme

Four commitments that govern the methodology.

Independent review is not a marketing posture. It is built into the operating model.

Construct transparency, method protected

Every dimension and competency we assess is published, along with the reasoning behind why it matters and how it's validated. What isn't published is the exact scoring mechanism — the specific weightings and decision rules that turn observed behaviour into a result. That stays proprietary, held solely by the founder, in the same way a validated psychometric tool publishes its constructs and theory while protecting its scoring engine.

Falsifiability

Each claim the methodology makes is testable. Negative findings are published in the change record.

Inter-rater reliability

Synthesis logic is structured so two qualified raters arrive at convergent profiles from the same evidence.

Criterion validation

Studies are sequenced to test whether structured communication evidence relates to communication-effectiveness outcomes — not job performance, not promotion.

A note on scope

Silk Clarity publishes its construct and validation approach for scrutiny. The specific scoring methodology is proprietary and is not disclosed, including to reviewers, in the same way established psychometric providers protect their scoring engines while publishing their underlying theory.

Governance Framework

How the methodology is changed, recorded and audited.

Document Control Register

Every artefact is version-controlled. Changes are dated, attributed and traceable.

Methodology Change Record

Substantive changes carry a rationale, an effective date and an impact note.

Release Notes

Each release is accompanied by published notes describing what changed and why.

Reviewer Pack

The documents we send to academic reviewers.

The following materials are openly downloadable. Reviewers receive the same pack offered here.

Independent Collaboration

Reviewers, research partners and host institutions.

We are actively forming relationships with departments and faculty in linguistics, organisational behaviour, occupational psychology and decision science.
